the company Mindquarry will stop providing commercial services and products. We could not convince our investor to keep financing our endeavour.
The Mindquarry GO and Mindquarry PRO products will be discontinued as of today. Our Open Source product will remain publicly available (see below for more information). To those with a Mindquarry GO Beta account, we now offer the possibility to migrate their data to the Open Source version of Mindquarry. This means that they can install Mindquarry themselves and use existing data from their Mindquarry GO Beta instance. Please write to support@mindquarry.com if you want us to extract your data from Mindquarry GO Beta to send it to you.
Keeping our Open Source software aliveOur developers team is currently working on finishing the Mindquarry 1.2beta release, which will be available around end of October. Beginning with 1.2beta, Mindquarry source code will be hosted on Sourceforge as well as the mindquarry.com Web site. Hence, our software as well as all necessary information such as installation documentation and forum discussions will still be available. Further details and links will be available in the next and probably final Mindquarry community newsletter.
AcknowledgementsFirst of all, we would like to thank our customers and our developers community for their support. Our customers helped us to continually improve our product based on their feedback and their kind appreciation for our work was our greatest source of motivation. Special thanks go to those numerous community members who tried out Mindquarry and helped us with bug reports and feature requests. Some of them also contributed code.
Furthermore, our thanks go to Hasso Plattner Ventures for their seed investment, which did not carry us as far as we wished, but at least gave us the chance to build a visible company and product in the collaborative software market space.
Last but not least, we would like to thank ourselves for a great and dedicated team!
Questions and feedbackWe are happy to answer your questions about Mindquarry's situation in the forum and also welcome any comments there.

What’s so friggin' great about Mindquarry?
... well, that's the question raised in a blogger review of Mindquarry's 1.1beta release by opensourcetutor.com. The response is as follows: "What I will say, is that despite it’s errors and despite it’s beta version, It’s still what I would call a ‘killer app’."
Now that 1.1 stable just got released - does that make Mindquarry even more friggin' great?

Welcome to the very first issue of Mindquarry Community Newsletter and thank you for subscribing. Here's a summary of what's new in the Mindquarry universe:
Progress on upcoming 1.1 release

, our Chief Architect, posted some info about the new graphical user interface (GUI) of Mindquarry, which will be included in the upcoming 1.1 release. He describes the approach (user-centered design) as well as the results with some mock ups.
The new GUI will provide better switching between teams as well as easier understanding of what information and functions are available to the user. Buttons for creation of new objects are always visible in the respective context (e.g. create new task when in task management). Last but not least, we think the new GUI is simply nicer to look at.
The Mindquarry development team is currently implementing the CSS and XSLT files. They are done with the top navigation tabs. Development will continue for a few more days, followed by testing.
According to this plan, version 1.1 will be released in 2-3 weeks.
