nXtank

nXtank will evoke the flexibility of design and addictive action of Xtank in a modern gaming engine. Xtank was an X-based strategy/action game consisting of the strategy elements of designing the playing field and the player's vehicle, and the action element of top-down arena combat with ... [More] those vehicles. In addition, a public API was released for Xtank's AI library which allowed anyone to write their own robot AI for the game. We intend to use a modern free 3D gaming engine to recreate these gameplay elements to appeal to the creativity of a new generation. Users will be able to design maps and vehicles which can easily be shared among the user base. We also intend to release an API allowing users to code their own AI robots to compete in the game, adding another dimension of competition. [Less]
