I play WoW, and when I raid, I have to sign up on a forum posting. This script sends emails whenever there is a new posting in the "Line-Ups and Sign-Ups" forum. From the forumHey guys. I'm not entirely sure whether or not any of you are nerds like ... [More] me, but if you're technically inclined, I figured I'd post a little script I just whipped up. What it does is spit out all of the currently available line-ups for your raid group, and sends you a notification via email when it sees a new line-up posted. As a disclaimer, I should mention that I have done no testing as to whether or not the script will work for you. In fact, unless you run Mac OS X or some flavor of Linux, you should probably abandon all hope of using this. I can't support Windows, sorry! To Install:Copy/paste the code to a text file and save it (I recommend something like "equil.rb"). Edit the first couple variables to suit your needs. They begin with dollar signs. If you don't want it to email you, delete the $toList lines. Open a terminal and run ruby /the/location/you/saved/it The program should return however many current line-ups are out. If you set up the email correctly, you will get an email for each. Notes:If you use a Mac, you'll have to run sudo postfix start for the mail functionality to work. It will prompt you for your password. If you use Linux, a mail application is likely running already. Feel free to ask any questions or make any modifications. [Less]

Beanmonitor - monitoring of OpenVZ user_beancountersDescriptionBasically, the software you can acquire here allows you to easily monitor user_beancounters used by OpenVZ to limit resources per vps. Now I know that usually you are not too interested ... [More] in how often your users try to violate the limits you impose on them but in my environment, a machine "split" into several instances using OpenVZ, it's pretty critical to know when the assigned resources aren't enough anymore. On that note, I'm planning on adding a way of seeing which limits are about to be breached by a vps so you can decide whether to raise the barrier or to wait for it to fail. Featuresemails failures on a per vps or catchall basis (check wiki) compares to set of counter files and writes differences to the console in an ordered manner Screenshot StatusParsing files works Config file works; can be created and modified using the command line Ruby source can be "compiled" into one single file to minimize deployment effort Counter differences are currently simply dumped to console in YAML Emailing works per vps and for administrators (all errors) Email templates are available but currently hardcoded RoadmapDisplay vps which are close to a beancounter barrier (let's call this "early warning system" possibly auto increase limit if close to barrier disk quota reporting add svn code documentation (check out Rakefile / :compile task) Feature requests?Best would be to add a feature request to the issue tracker so it can be commented on in an ordered manner :-) [Less]

RESTful Messaging with HowlrThe Howlr daemon provides RESTful interface for sending outgoing messages. Messages are submitted via HTTP and dispatched to other protocols. Currently only email (SMTP and Sendmail) is supported, but other delivery ... [More] methods (SMS, IM, etc.) are possible. The idea is to provide a RESTful messaging service, as part of a larger REST-based enterprise infrastructure. FeaturesRESTful HTTP interface for back-end integration with other RESTful network resources Modular support for messaging protocols. Regular e-mail (via SMTP or sendmail) is available out of the box. Platform-independent, stand-alone server, installable as a Linux init.d service (it should be run on Windows as a background daemon too) Easy to configure via a single YAML file. Supports delivery callbacks that trigger further REST calls when a message is sent out to each of its recipients. InstallationInstall the gem and its dependencies: gem install -y howlr Run Howlr for the first time to generate a sample configuration file: howlr -c ~/howlr.yml Edit configuration in /etc/howlr/config.yml Run again: howlr -c ~/howlr.yml Open up your browser and go to http://localhost:7008/messages/new to make sure it's working (your URL will be different if you changed the port and url prefix in your configuration). That's it. Your Howlr instance should now be ready to start receiving REST requests for sending out messages. UsageSimple example using Ruby's ActiveResource: require 'active_resource' # Define the proxy class class Message < ActiveResource::Base self.site = 'http://localhost:7008' end message = Message.new message.subject = "Howlr Test" message.body = "This is just a test!" message.from = "Test McTestski " message.recipients = "John Doe ; Sally Smith " # Saving the message commits it to the server, causing the message to # be sent out. message.save # The server temporarily stores copies of all sent messages. Saving a # message (i.e. sending it) assigns to it a unique ID. We can use this # ID to later retrieve a copy of this message. message2 = Message.find(message.id) Also a look at the HowlrAPI and the PHP Zend_Rest_Client example. You will also probably want to configure Howlr to run as an init.d service. Finally, if you're interested in other RESTful services, have a look at Taskr, a RESTful scheduler daemon. [Less]

A proposta do Infra é englobar todas as camadas do sistema.
