This small application uses the RSS feeds provided by Google's Picasaweb to easily include and personalize your album to your website. This project uses lightbox 2.02 as an option and example of its flexibility.

What is Gallery Connection?A TinyMCE gallery plugin designed to easily connect with most existing gallery software. FeaturesUsers can browse galleries, select an image, and choose how it will be displayed in a graphical, straight forward manner. Select from predefined alignments (left, right...) ... [More] in a graphical manner. Select from predefined sizes (tiny, small, medium... or what ever the backend defines) Check out the Screenshots The plugin assumes no technical knowledge of the end-user, there is no need to specify a URL, choose a pixel size or specify a margin. What isn't it?This is not a standalone plugin, it needs server-side implementation for each type of gallery. Hopefully other programmers will submit implementations for different gallery software. This is not (yet) scalable to great extent. It should work well enough for small sites, but if you have hundreds or thousands of galleries, and possibly thousands of images in each gallery, be aware that I have not yet implemented paging. This is not thoroughly tested. So far only I have used it, mainly using firefox. I'm hoping other users/developers will point out flaws and cross browser inconsistencies. Working ImplementationsSo far implementation is available for: django-photologue, although you need to add the views and urls provided in the download section to make it work. Hopefully this will be supported by photologue soon. Implementations in progress: Nothing yet AssumptionsThe plugin makes a few assumption about the gallery backend it is connecting to: That it can provide different sizes of the images (even if it is only "thumbnail" and "display size") The plugin assumes that the website hosting it provides a few urls to allow it to interact with the server-side gallery software via AJAX. Technical detailsThe jQuery library is used for simplicity. The plugin uses JSONP to avoid security problems when js files are being served from a different (sub)domain. [Less]
