See Me Run is a mobile application in development for multiple platforms. The purpose of the application is provide feedback to the user - generally a runner or other athlete. This feedback will ... [More] include total workout time, total distance traveled, instantaneous and average speed, manual or automatic lap splits, along with a map of the route. However, See Me Run extends traditional GPS tracking by allowing other interested parties to 'see you run' in real-time. This is achieved by transmitting waypoints using the mobile hardware's transceiver. The viewer, at home or potentially on their own mobile device, will load a client which receives this waypoint data and uses basic arithmetic to recreate the same feedback and route information available to the user. This allows your family and friends to check up on you during your workout or race. While this app is made by a runner for runners, it is also suitable for cycling, or in general, whenever you want to allow somebody to check up on you. However, a private workout mode will prevent nosy fans from watching you at all times, so have no fear of overprotective parents or obsessed lovers. [Less]
