Daneel is a scheduler, todo list, and note-taking application for the android platform rolled into one easy-to-use package. Daneel supports attachments of any kind the android platform and the host hardware is capable of generating, including pictures, audio clips, and video clips. Daneel ... [More] notes are geotagged on platforms that support it; this allows the user to plot their note-taking activities on a map. Daneel supports an IMAP backend, for easy synchronization and backup (and in the future for collaboration with other Daneel-compatible applications.) Daneel also sends notes to other recipients for easy collaboration. Daneel uses a natural-language parser to allow users to create appointments and other artifacts by simply entering text like "lunch with donna at Salty's on 8/15/08 noon". Daneel is, and will always remain, open source. [Less]

Come Find Me allows a user on an Android device to request the location of another Android device using the GTalk service and the location based services on the Android phone e.g. GPS, Cellular Triangulation, Google Map reference or Latitude & Longitude coordinates. The requesting Android ... [More] device will enter a GTalk username which will then go and find the Android device associated with that GTalk username and request its location. If the responding Android device accepts, the location will be retrieved using one of the location based services on the Android device listed above, and then sent back to the requesting Android device. Once the requesting Android device receives the location a Google Map will be displayed with the Location found. Once the Google map is displayed the user will have the option to get directions from their location to the requested location. I have also added support for an accelerometer which is used for navigating through Google Maps buy tilting the Android device. Because I only have a emulator to work with I have been using my MacBook Pro's sudden motion sensor instead and serving up X,Y,Z values over a socket connection to the emulator. Please note that this is in development and I take no responsibility for the use of this code. It is currently only a concept at this stage. [Less]
