OpenACS

OpenACS (Open Architecture Community System) is a toolkit for building scalable, community-oriented web applications. OpenACS is the foundation for many products and websites, including the .LRN e-learning platform. OpenACS is open source and is available under the GNU General Public License.

AOLserver

AOLserver is a multithreaded, Tcl-enabled, massively scalable and extensible Web server tuned for large scale, dynamic Web sites. It includes complete database integration, dynamic page scripting, and an open, extensible architecture.

NaviServer

Naviserver is a high performance programmable web server written in C and Tcl. It can be easily extended in either language to create interesting web sites and services

nsdbi

nsdbi provides a Tcl interface to an SQL database from within the naviserver web server. It is a combination of the ideas from the original aolserver ns_db interface, the higher level interface provided by openacs, and some new features and performance improvements.

nspostgres

A Postgres database driver for the AOLserver nsdb driver interface. Includes additional Tcl commands not specified in the nsdb interface which emulate bind variables.

nsperl2 - Bridge AOLServer and perl

nsperl2 is a loadable module for the AOLServer threaded web server to allow development in Perl. I'm very pleased to announce the first (alpha) release of nsperl2. It's an alpha release, so no promises as to its quality. There are *definately* memory leaks at the moment but my tests pass ... [More] reliably (on MacOS 10.5 and CentOS 4.5) so you should feel free to try it out if you feel so inclined. I try quite hard to deal with performance issues such as native variable and bytecode representations, so the ultimate performance once any gremlins are ironed out should be quite good.. [Less]

xadp

The X AOLserver Dynamic Platform (xADP) is a "batteries included" distribution for AOLserver. It includes, but is not limited to, Tcl, AOLserver, MySQL, cURL, TclCurl, tDOM, Tcllib, nsrpc, and nsdb. Using a single Makefile to build and link these features together, xADP offers an ... [More] out-of-the-box experience for AOLserver. xADP provides simple mechanisms for starting and stopping servers, server communication via RPC, and a nsdb Tcl package that wraps the ns_db API for ease of use. nsdbpg

nsjava

nsjava is an AOLserver loadable c-module which embeds a java virtual machine. This module is being developed to support the OpenACS project -- see http://openacs.org -- but it could find general application as a web development tool.

nsdci

The nsdci AOLserver module includes a number of utility APIs, data structures, and network transports created initially during the creation of the AOL Digital City Web site. We hope others will find it as useful as we have over the years. Sub-modules include: cache, ncf, neval, np, nproxy, nrate, nsob, nt, nv, page and proxy.
