OtaSwfUploaderProject that allows you to upload several files displaying the upload´s progress. It´s possible to upload more than one file at the same time or queue files. It can uses a flash or ... [More] java plugin to upload the files and send messages to your javascript, allowing you to present the file list and progress´s status using your own layout. The javascript API is the same independently of wich plugin you are using. You can even switch the plugin at runtime without changing the javascript code you wrote to interface the upload plugin. Checkout a simple demo at: Uploader Demo I will provide a better and more visual demo on the next week. Why the java client? I decide to develop the java client option for two main reasons: 1) At the moment that i started developping the flash´s plugin i discovered that the flash´s plugin for linux has a bug. It will freeze the browser until the upload is complete. The file will be uploaded correctly, but, this behavior will create a poor user interface for those who use linux. So, i decided to give them a second choice for uploading their files. 2) Adobe tested the upload system for files with a maximum size of 100MB. So, if you are planning to upload files bigger than that, i strongly urge you to use the java's plugin instead of the flash one. [Less]
