unieject

unieject is a drop-in replacement for usual eject command, which works on Linux and FreeBSD. It has more functionalities than FreeBSD's eject command, and it's partially compatible with Linux's one. disc-catalog

Disc Catalog is a quick application for who wants to always know what's inside that mass of unlabeled DVDs laying in the house. If you have (like me) hundreds of unlabeled DVDs and you don't have time to scan each one to see what's inside, then you can use Disc Catalog. Launch the ... When you enter a disc in your mac's drive, Disc Catalog will automatically save the list of all contained files, and wil automatically eject the drive so you can quickly go on with another disc.
