It allows to select and scan a folders , drives, configure settings and update the virus databases. It also includes a Windows Systray icon. Spiderweb features a context menu handler for Windows Explorer which installs Scan with Spiderweb into the right-click explorer menu for folders. It's written in object pascal (Delphi) and C++ (VC++). The package comes with an installer built with InnoSetup. It uses a port of libclamv that i wrote for windows using the VC++. Otra de las caracteristicas de Spiderweb es que se integra con el Explorador de windows permitiendonos realizar revisiones especificas en una carpeta con solo realizar un clic-derecho y seleccionar la opcion de revision con al AV. Esta desarrollado en object pascal(Delphi) y C++ (VC++). Viene ademas con un paquete instalador construido con InnoSetup. Como se pudo ver en el encabezado , o eso insinuo , uso una version modificada de libclamav que que escribi para windows usando el VC++. Entre las demas opciones mencionadas anteriormente Spiderweb tiene la habilidad de escuchar eventos del sistema ,tal como saber cuando se crea una carpeta , cuando se modifican elementos de archivos , cuando se eleminian y una vez detectado esto por seguridad revisa en esos destinos en busca de codigo maligno. Un inconveniento para los Angloparlantes es que la interfaz esta completamente en español aunque hay enproyecto una traduccion al ingles. Spiderweb esta compuesto de varios modulos los cuales son: El escaneador de archivos , el Monitor del sistema, el integrador con el entorno de windows, por lo que se puede prescindir de algunos componentes en caso de querer llevarse el Spiderweb en una memoria para asi tenerlo portatil , ya que el escaneador se puedo transportar libremente al igual que el monitor del sistema no asi el integrador del shell explorer que depende de el escaneador.
