TetraZuneThis remake of the classic block puzzler is being developed as a tutorial tool for others wishing to make games for the Zune on the brand new XNA 3.0 CTP. In addition, non-programmers will ... [More] be able to easily upload and play the game themselves. Latest News:For Christmas I just got a new Zune 8 to replace my lost Zune 30! I will soon be continuing this project to its very-near completion. Sorry for the long delay. TetraZune is nearing completion, with the title screen now complete. Scoring is really the last thing to add (including score totalling, high score listings, and name entering). I have not decided yet if I will allow the wireless transfer of high scores, we will have to see how long the other stuff takes. Alpha release 0.1 is available on the Downloads page (or the "Featured Downloads" pane to the right >>>). Only the main game logic is working, and the program quits as soon as you lose, without totalling your full score. Still it is the first stable release that lets you play a full game of Tetris! Whoo hoo! Projected Features:Full working tetra block game with bonuses, cool animations, and '1337' sound effects. Basic media functionality. High scores and other notable achievements. Clean, professional presentation, animated effects, and overall quality. Possible utilization of wireless multiplayer, most likely only to share high scores. Overall demonstration of key components needed to making games on the XNA platform. Donations? You really love tetris? Want to see me devote more time to Zune games? You've just hit the lottery? Donate! Any amount is appreciated. Leave a message with your gift if you're feeling really saucy ;) Easy donations with Paypal. Every dollar helps!
