This project is part of a larger project called DyLab, which offers a component based system for testing and prototyping soft tissue models on an ordinary PC and also for rapid development of new applications belonging especially to the area of organ and organ system simulators. The whole system ... [More] consists of three layers: DyLab framework, Dylab components and DyLab applications, all highly configurable with simple text configuration files. This subproject provides the platform independent framework, which defines interfaces for components and provides funcionality for their integration and cooperation. The framework is based on thread-safe operations, so it can be easily integrated into a multi-threaded environment. The project DyLab is implemented using the C++ language and it was compiled and tested only on Windows platform, so far. However, it was designed with support for other platforms in mind as well. The whole system ... [More] consists of three layers: DyLab framework, Dylab components and DyLab applications, all highly configurable with simple text configuration files. This subproject provides a set of re-usable components, which are orginezed in the modules (DLL files on Windows platform). They implement some behaviour, technique or driver. Certain combination of these components can be used to simulate almost any scenario. This subproject provides applications base on DyLab framework and DyLab components. There is currently only one stub application availabe, serving as a testbed for the framework and the implemented components. However, due to component architecture and high configurability, it can be used for almost any scenario without the need to alter its source code. The project DyLab is implemented using the C++ language and it was compiled and tested only on Windows platform, so far. However, it was designed with support for other platforms in mind as well.
