Debian GNU/Linux

Debian is a free operating system (OS) for your computer. An operating system is the set of basic programs and utilities that make your computer run. Debian uses the Linux kernel (the core of an operating system), but most of the basic OS tools come from the GNU project; hence the name GNU/Linux.

Kubuntu

Kubuntu is a a user friendly operating system based on KDE, the K Desktop Environment. With a predictable 6 month release cycle and part of the Ubuntu project, Kubuntu is the GNU/Linux distribution for everyone.

CentOS is a clone of Red Hat's Enterprise Linux (RHEL). CentOS is based on the same source RPMS, except for modified artwork, trademark, etc. This means near-perfect binary compatibility with RHEL, and it probably means that CentOS will be supported for a very long time because the CentOS ... Pardus Linux

Pardus is a GNU/Linux distribution developed by BTE/TUBITAK according to computer literates' basic desktop needs; uses existing distributions' dominant parts as concept, architecture or code; provides easy use, configuration, installation with configuration environment and tools that can be converted to an autonomous system.

Mandriva Linux

Mandriva Linux is a community-based Linux distribution, suitable for a wide range of solutions: from clustering to servers, firewalls and - most commonly - desktops.
