SQLite

SQLite is a small C library that implements a self-contained, embeddable, zero-configuration SQL database engine. Implements most of SQL92 and ACID (atomic, consistent, isolated, and durable) transactions; no setup or administration needed.

DBI

The DBI module enables your Perl applications to access multiple database types transparently. You can connect to a large number of databases, including MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, Informix, Sybase, ODBC etc. without having to know the different underlying interfaces of each.
