WinDirStat: Windows Directory Statistics

WinDirStat is a disk usage statistics viewer and cleanup tool for MS Windows (all current variants). It shows disk, file and directory sizes in a treelist as well as graphically in a treemap, much like KDirStat and SequoiaView.

NCurses Disk Usage

ncdu (NCurses Disk Usage) is a curses-based version of the well-known "du", and provides a fast way to see what directories are using your disk space.

GrandPerspective

GrandPerspective is a small utility application for Mac OS X that graphically shows the disk usage within a file system. Disk Cleaner

Disk Cleaner is a tool to quickly and easily free disk space that is used by temporary files like the system temporary folder, the Internet Explorer Cache and Cookies folder, and the Recycle Bin. It can be expanded with simple text-based plug-ins.

dups

This is a postscript program with a Bourne shell wrapper. It will parse output from the du program to produce a stacked bar or pie chart of the results. The goal is to be clean, simple, and portable. Usage: dups [DU OPTIONS] > output.ps

diskpipe

Synchronize local disk data with remote computer. It should be main host or other client. Synchronizing occurs automaically. It's not SCM.

usagemapper

Draw charts to depict which folders are using how much space. This project was inspired by the Linux tool Filelight.

FS-Inspect

FS-Inspect gives you an overview about your files and directories (Disk Usage). In the first step, you see your sub folder sizes (Folder Size), and the file type sizes (Type Size). In the second step you can search file duplicates (Duplicate Search).

usbdiskejector

USB Disk EjectorA program that allows you to quickly remove USB devices in Windows. It was originally designed to remove only USB pen drives but will now eject any USB or firewire device that windows sees as a disk. It can also eject flash cards from card readers. [More] command line program or a normal gui program and is very useful if you have a USB flash/pen drive, especially if you use a menu such as PStart or the Portable Apps launcher. The command line options are very flexible, they can be used to: Eject the drive that the program is running from. Eject a drive by specifying a drive letter. Eject a drive by specifying a drive name. Eject a drive by specifying a partial drive name. When run as a ‘normal’ GUI program the tools enables USB devices to be quickly ejected through a mouse click or keyboard press. It’s especially useful when dealing with multiple USB devices and for Vista users who don’t want the ‘now safe to remove this device’ dialog box to appear. The program was designed for and has been tested on Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. It should work on all versions of Windows from 2000 onwards though.
