DescriptionWhat is the goal of this project? To provide a simple way to create documents from DocBook (DBlite) sources. What is the scope of this project?Currently, the plan is to create simple tools based on Makefiles to create documents out of DocBook (DBLite) XML source files. In the future, we ... [More] should be able to prive a simple user interface to compile DocBook files. This project was started after we noticed that finally someone had a simple way of compiling DocBook documents: Subversion. We just needed to decouple the tools they used so that anyone can use them. What are high-level features you are sure to build? With ezDocBook you will be able to create PDF, PS, HTML-chunk, and HTML-single output files from DocBook XML sources. What are the high-level assumptions or ground rules for the project? We assume that the user has already created DocBook XML sources. Currently, the plan is only to deliver the ability to compile the sources to PDF, PS, or HTML files. NewsFebruary 1, 2007Release 0.8.1 available - Includes new method of creating docs by using the script ezdoc instead of make. [Less]

This project should offer a ready to use LaTeX template especially for writing at university level. It provides the basic structure to get started with LaTeX immediately. For people e.g. students, scientists it seems often hard to get started with LaTeX. A distinct set of packages must be included ... [More] in the "tex" header file to achieve first results. A bit confusing at the very first beginning of writing with LaTeX. Also the huge amount of basic commands are not recognized or known at the starting level too. In deed, there are huge possibilities with the available LaTeX packages and commands. But the included packages should be selected wisely to support an easy conversion to "odt" ("doc") files. As it is, sometimes "doc" files are requested. Until now i haven't found a LaTeX template which gives an easy introduction to LaTeX and which ensures the compatibility to translate LaTeX source files to "doc" files. It should also support an easy conversion to "odt" ("doc"), "pdf" and "html" in one run. The project will define a basic file and folder structure to separate "tex" files and content like images and literature. It will also provide some scripts (shell script or batch file) to transform the "tex" files to "odt", "odf" and "html" documents via tex4ht and pdftex commands. It should provide as well information, how to install a basic LaTeX system on the currently most used operating systems like Windows (MikTeX), Mac (MacTeX), Unix/Linux (texlive) and several IDEs which can be used uniquely on all the systems (texmaker, jabref).
