  eprints

This project is a plugin for the Elgg Social Networking platform. It provides a profile/dashboard widget that displays a list of eprints from arXiv.org. This widget is designed to cater to the tiny world of academic mathematics/physics/computer science social networks. The widget is currently deployed on Quantum Collaborations

Aim of this project is to provide an overlay widget that EPrints users can use to make relatively simple changes to their stylesheets, and quickly personalise their repository so it doesn't look exactly like every other default EPrints installation. It was prompted by me wanting to tweak ... [More] existing EPrints CSS without hacking into the HTML templates. You can freshen up the default look quite a lot with just CSS. Intended to be non-invasive of supplied EPrints code (other than adding scripts to 90_local.js), however for simplicity of POC, some ID properties have been added to a default EPrints page. Would be nice to dynamically update zzz_local.css, but for the moment the scripts will just output CSS code that can be added there. As well as understanding EPrints CSS, it was also done as a learning exercise for me to get to grips with current Javascript and also with Google Code. I set it up as a Google Code project so if anyone else wants to collaborate, comment or hack it there, feel free, get in touch! [Less]
