Fetchmail is a full-featured, robust, well-documented remote-mail retrieval and forwarding utility intended to be used over on-demand or permanent dynamic-address TCP/IP links (such as SLIP or PPP connections). It supports every remote-mail protocol now in use on the Internet: POP3, IMAP4r1, ETRN ... [More] , and ODMR, all with various authentication variants, and TLS/SSL security with certificate verification. Fetchmail retrieves mail from remote mail servers and forwards it via SMTP, LMTP, or to a local delivery agent. Mail can then be read by normal mail software such as mutt or alpine. This setup allows all your system MTA's filtering, forwarding, and aliasing facilities to work just as they would on normal mail. [Less]

The LowdownBoundless is a Model-View-Controller (MVC) style PHP rapid development framework. It follows in the footsteps of other existing frameworks, but with your Average Joe developer in mind. Zero BloatThere is no sprawling documentation; there really isn't that much to document. ... [More] Everything provided in Boundless is just the bare essentials of a PHP framework, zero bloat. It's designed to get you off your feet, and out of your way -- but is always there to help. LimitationsBoundless is not designed to handle massive applications, but small-medium sized personal projects that don't need the immense frameworks that are out there. It should not be used to learn PHP, however; knowledge of OOP is required to truly understand Boundless, although you could get by developing on Boundless with very rudimentary PHP knowledge. Boundless does not support SQL, and will not support it in the future unless there is significant demand. FeaturesA MVC style architecture for organization and efficiency A speedy flat-file database system (Fetch) for self-contained data storage A database management system (FarFetch) on top of Fetch, to ease certain tasks like data validation. Scaffolding for the basic Create-Read-Update-Delete (CRUD) operations, so you can get off the ground never having to touch the database -- just define your Model and you have a working website. HTML helpers that automate tasks like creating quality input forms. "Pretty URLs" come standard -- e.g. "site.com/posts/new-dog" vs "site.com/index.php?post=4" User profile, rank and session management The FutureBoundless is an evolving framework, and features are likely to come and go in subsequent releases. The UMF will provide a web-based interface for configuration of forwarding settings. Mail forwarding will be completed on the server on which the interface is hosted. In this way, the user will be able to "set it and forget it" unless he or she decides a change is required. The service ... [More] will function, therefore, even if any one mail server goes down, and will not require the user to have a personally configured computer or program running to culminate messages. The UMF would not simply configure the settings within various e-mail accounts for forwarding, but rather will connect to each e-mail service by whichever interface said service provides and complete the forwarding itself. With this approach, the UMF will be capable of handling any of the numerous service interfaces currently used to check e-mail (IMAP, POP3, Proprietary HTTP). A template will represent an email protocol (IMAP, POP3, HTTP)Options in a template will be configurable to the user's desires once in the Workspace. These objects will also not be static devices; users can share Templates for new types of accounts, and the server providing the UMF will automatically import Templates for any new type of interface that comes into fruition.
