แนะนำให้สร้าง profile ใหม่เพื่อทดสอบ วิธีการตามบทความนี้ ดาวน์โหลดรุ่นล่าสุดจากหน้านี้ http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/tinderbox-builds/latest-mozilla1.9.0-l10n/ มาทดลองใช้งานได้เลย รุ่น 3.0.4pre.th : Windows installer (.exe), Windows (.zip), Mac OS X, Linux วิธีติดตั้งบน Windows ด้วยตัว installer (.exe) ให้ดับเบิลคลิกแล้วกด next ไปเรื่อย ๆ เหมือนติดตั้งโปรแกรมปกติ วิธีติดตั้งบน Windows ตัวแฟ้ม .zip ให้แตกแฟ้มออกมา แล้วรันแฟ้ม firefox.exe ได้เลย วิธีติดตั้งบน Linux ให้แตกแฟ้ม .tar.bz2 ออกมา แล้วรันไบนารีของ firefox ได้เลย (สั่ง ./firefox -ProfileManager) วิธีติดตั้งบน Mac OS X ให้ดับเบิลคลิกที่แฟ้ม dmg แล้วลาก Minefield ไปใส่ใน Application Folder เหมือนลงโปรแกรมปกติ
