coreboot (formerly known as LinuxBIOS) is a Free Software project aimed at replacing the proprietary BIOS (firmware) you can find in most of today's computers. It performs just a little bit of hardware initialization and then executes a so-called payload, for example a Linux kernel, FILO, GRUB2

nvramtool (previously known as lxbios and cmos_util) is a utility for reading/writing coreboot parameters and displaying information from the coreboot table in CMOS/NVRAM. The program is intended only for x86-based Linux systems that use coreboot, but can also be used for non-coreboot systems (e.g. for dumping all NVRAM bytes).
LBdistro is a build environment to help developers to create coreboot (previously LinuxBIOS) system with applications inside, it is based on buildrom.
