IntroductionIt's a flickr client, written in Adobe Flex following the Cairngorm design pattern. It can actually: Search (by full text or tags) photos on your Flickr PhotoStream. Mass Upload photos to your Flickr PhotoStream with title tags description and privacy setting informations. Mass Delete photos from your Flickr PhotoStream. Edit title, tags, description and privacy settings of your photos. I hope to extend it's functionalities as far as I have time to work on it. Two university colleagues and I are working on an interactive Image Map application (a Flex application, that is). We aim to create a Flex/AIR application, which uses a public service (Flickr) that gives access to images. The application will retrieve images from Flickr, distribute them across a ... [More] plain and provide a pan and zoom functionality to the end-user for navigation - very much like an interactive geographical map. In greater detail, the application should: 1. Dynamically load images from a public service (Flickr) 2. Distribute the loaded images arbitrarily on the plain. Yet the distribution should follow some guidelines - no two images should overlap - it's recommended for the images to be located near the center of the plain, with some padding between each two for a better visual effect 3. Thumbnail versions of the images should be used to populate the map as the number of images is to be quite large (100-500) 4. Pan and Zoom functionality must be implemented. The user should be able to navigate across X and Y axes through panning and across the Z-axis through zooming in and out. Both actions are to be performed by the mouse and the keyboard. 5. Bonus: A control where the user can supply search keywords and the max number of results returned 6. Bonus: Detailed view of an image - on click a window with information about the image is opened - such as name, author etc., as well as the original version of the image [Less]
