Snow is a GUI description language for Swing, in the vein of XUL and SwiXml but based on Lisp rather than XML. It is a declarative language: the code is tree-structured, like XML and any Lisp-based language, and its structure mirrors the hierarchy of the GUI components. Furthermore, layout is ... [More] specified using a CSS-like embedded language, and the connection with application code is demanded to data binding and event listeners (which can be coded in Lisp or in Java). Like most languages built on Lisp, it fully retains the underlying language features, including functional and imperative programming, OO support, garbage collection, dynamic typing, runtime incremental compilation, a powerful macro system, advanced error handling, and so on... En español abajo. Sorry, my bad "Engrish". Emuteca is an emulator front-end for any system, like QuickPlay. Now, it's in English; and it can be translated to any language (I think so...). It's not complete, but it's somewhat stable and usable... :/. The main visible ... [More] problems are: Transparent background of PNG is always showed black and ICO files don't resize to fit game list rows. These problems are already fixed in 0.6.2.XX source code, but i want to test more before release it. Features: Support for ROMs inside a 7z, zip, rar, and any other format that 7zip can handle; and extract the ROM (or all files) before launching the emulator. Alternatively, you can use the compressed file itself as a ROM; for example, while you are using MAME. Group games by families, in many system a family means diferent versions of the same game; while in other it's better use families to handle the diferent files of the same game (computer games with many discs). It launchs any emulator from command line; althought only some are preconfigured as example, you can add many as you want. Some emulators don't support launch a game from command line but you can use Emuteca to decompress the ROM before lauching the emulator or only for management purpose. You can add, edit, delete or disable any system with the System Manager. Emulator Manager lets you configure the command line for the emulators. It has a Media Manager to rename media files assign them to a family or a game NEW: It's in English by default, but can be translated. NEW: You can assign a video or/and a music file to a game and it can be played went selecting the game (only MPEG and MIDI was actually tested) Other little things that you may discover XD. Some things like video and music folders (except demo folders) are useless in this version... If you want to traslate Emuteca to another language or fix any misspelled sentence: Run Emuteca at least once (This will create some config files, and the translation file of the strings used). If you want open any other window like System Manager, Emulator Manager, etc... this will add their strings to the traslation file too. The file with the strings is "i18n\en.lng" folder (by default), and you only need to edit this file. With Emuteca is included only es.lng for Spanish, but at first run "en.lng" will be created. If you want, you can copy or rename the file and then change Emuteca.ini... (and send me the translation XD to include it in next version) Sorry, not more documentation in English; if you want, you can help me to translate the documentation to any languaje.
