Vaadin is a web application framework for Rich Internet Applications (RIA). In contrast to Javascript libraries and browser-plugin based solutions it features a server-side architecture, which means that the majority of the logic runs on the servers. Ajax technology is used at the browser-side to ... [More] ensure a rich and interactive user experience. Vaadin is a big collection of UI components. There are server-side components like Button, Table, Tree that you use to compose the application user interface. The components use events, listeners and data binding to communicate with each other and the business logic. The component based architecture together with the data binding features help you to build applications that are easily modularized and refactored as needed. [Less]

Lazy Query Container is a Vaadin framework addon which provides lazy loading container for Vaadin tables. Lazy Query Container supports buffered reads and writes of items. Data reads and writes are delegated through Query interface to an application specific business delegate. The QueryFactory and ... [More] Query interface implementations are designed to be application specific and should invoke a data source like WebService client, JDBC connection, JPA context or Java service class to read and write data items. The data source has to support querying data in batches.Lazy Query Container supports the following features: lazy loading of items, loading Items in batches, item caching with limited cache size, sorting, query statistics, changing item set and changing property set. Since version 1.1.0 Lazy Query Container also supports adding items, modifying items and removing items. The changes are buffered and can be either commited or discarded. Row status icons and status column generator are also included to allow for visualization of row states. See the demo for hands on experience on the features. If you like this add-on please add it to your stack in ohloh by clicking I use this button in the project page: https://www.ohloh.net/p/vaadin-lazyquerycontainer [Less]

Rialto GWTRialto GWT is a widget toolkit which extends GWT and wraps the Rialto JavaScript library. We decide to start this project cause we see here a mutual interest: For the GWT Community which can use the rich widgets and behaviors offered by the Rialto Framework. For the Rialto Community ... [More] which can use the GWT development framework to easily write and deploy Rialto application. The current version is 2.1 (please see below). If you have questions, please post them on the discussion group. Rialto GWT 2.1The first version of Rialto-GWT (1.0 - september 2007) was more a proof of concept than a real and stable version. Due to this, we have basically rebuilt the program from the ground up in this second version. The results are a massive improvement over the previous version with: a use of GWT 1.7 and Java 5 a stronger abstraction of the Rialto API an API closer than the GWT framework components with MVC model [Less]

DescriptionWebfusion is Java based library giving programmer a straight-forward approach during the development of presentation layer for large-scale applications. Its component based architecture enables programmer to use object oriented and component oriented approach when developing presentation ... [More] layer, either in terms of server side or client side logic. It also tries to unify server side and client side programming in terms of common API. The approach, which library uses strictly separates visual aspect which in many cases defined using HTML and CSS and application logic itself responsible for user interaction. Also is strictly separates roles during the development of application: the role of web designer whose main responsibility is to produce HTML and CSS output compatible with XHTML 1.0 and application programmer responsible for code giving the page final look in terms of content and interaction with the user. The implementation uses Springframework's MVC for easier annotation-based configuration with minimal usage of XML configuration files. One of the goals is to provide a state-less approach if possible. For other cases to put state information in context of specific user in her browser. For this purpose a MVC base scheme which builds on top of existing GWT widgets is developed. The benefit of transparent clustering according to load and application usage is obvious. [Less]
