This is a simple automatic trading program which uses alerts from Trade-Ideas to enter and exit trades. It is deliberately constructed to mimic the Trade-Ideas OddsMaker, making it easy for traders to develop strategies, test them and then go live. This is an early release and there may be major ... [More] bugs remaining. Users are encouraged to avoid trading with real their real account. Strategies which are profitable in OddsMaker may not be profitable when trading live. Traders are fully responsible for any trades through their account and it is their responsibility to understand all of the implications. [Less]

PyTWS is a Python port of the API used for controlling the Interactive Brokers LLC Trader Workstation software. PyTWS implements in Python a very similar interface and functionality as the proprietary Java API distributed by Interactive Brokers. PyTWS is not reviewed, supported or endorsed by ... [More] Interactive Brokers LLC. You may also be interested in the IbPy project, which is a different implementation of the TWS API in Python. I was aware of IbPy's existence, but decided to write PyTWS as a personal learning exercise to familiarize myself with the inner workings of the TWS API. IbPy uses a tool to translate the original Java code directly into Python, whereas PyTWS is hand-coded. Being mostly machine-generated, IbPy is a closer "mirror" of the exact Java semantics, whereas I have taken a few liberties with PyTWS to make it a bit more "Pythonic" while still closely approximating the "spirit" of the Java API. PyTWS is presently in an alpha state. I believe that it generally works, but it is not well-tested in the field. IbPy is definitely the more mature and tested project at this point in time, so if you're mainly interested in using a stable API as a client rather than experimenting with the internals, I would recommend using that project.
