The package is a user-friendly Matlab interface to analyze digital images using multivariate statistics (principal component analysis, PCA). For now, Matlab is required (Windows, MacOS, Linux ... [More] , Unix), but we hope to eventually port the code to a stand-alone platform using Qt. A complete manual is supplied: it reviews basic concepts of multivariate statistics and shows how to use the software with a "step-by-step" case study. The software package also includes several other "test" images for the user to gain an understanding of MIA.
