Photo Shoebox is yet another in the long line of Image Gallery packages available today. What sets it apart from the rest is that PS is file-driven. This means that the way your image files are organized and displayed exactly how you have them in your server directories. You can move the images ... [More] or directories around, rename them, and add/remove images or directories all from the command line or FTP without any interaction required through a website. That way, you can organize your images much faster. PS will automatically see these changes, without any action from you. Not only that, but you can also give your images tags, titles and descriptions, and no matter how much you move them around or change them, PS will still keep the information tagged to the right image, without the hassle of moving or changing some clunky XML files. If that isn't enough, the main page for PS allows you to choose a theme for how you want your images to be displayed, customize it, then download it in the way that you have configured. Then all you need to do is install it, and no futher setup is required. Want to change the way it looks? Just come back to the site and make a new one, copy it into the PS directory on your server, and it's done. No changes to any of your images is required. Pretty sweet, eh? [Less]

[More]                     This file takes source.png, saves 100 pixels of the top to top.jpg, and saves 100 pixels of the bottom to bottom.jpg. It adds a white background for any transparent areas. The 'primary' attribute tells Compositor to get the generated file dimensions from this image, if it isn't overridden by a height/width attribute in the element. [Less]

This Java Project aims to produce a map showing the news trends across the globe by analysing region-specific RSS news feeds. It currently in its easy stages, but can produce a world map, colored by the news (good/bad) for a specific region. This code is quick and dirty. It does not have any ... [More] third-party dependencies. The aim was for simplicity, so the output may not be all that 'correct'. It should therefore we viewed as a starting point, and definetly not as a finished product. This code also outputs JavaScript which can be used to create an interactive world map for HTML integration (see test.htm). NewsTrends is written as a stand-alone Java application, but could be easily written as a Servlet. The current RSS news feeds come from Yahoo, although this is easily customisable. [Less]
