In this project, we have built several Ajax-based JITIR systems to help report writers. We have experimented with several different ways in which words and phrases from the users document are used to form search engine queries. The idea of Just-in-Time Information Retrieval (JITIR) is to ... [More] automatically retrieve useful information for a user based on the users current context; see, e.g., (Budzik and Hammond 1999; Rhodes 2000). The user typically shouldnt have to explicitly enter queries; rather, queries are automatically composed and submitted to a search engine based, e.g., on the content of the document that the user is currently editing. This means that there can be, e.g., a panel of of regularly refreshed search results that the user can consult, if he should wish to. Notice: The source code will be updated to GWT 1.7 in the coming few months and the application might deploy to GAE. [Less]

Its a college practical work that consists of an indexer and a search engine. The indexer will create the needed data types to allow the search engine find results in an acceptable time. It will use the cosine measure to rank the results found.

Spider.NetSpider.Net is a generic web crawler framework. It contains a base framework, a runtime, and a sample runtime environment. The base framework name Spider Framework, the core of Spider.Net, provides many building blocks for a web crawler construction. The runtime named Spider Runtime driven ... [More] by an XML configuration file constructs and executes a web crawler dynamically. The sample runtime environment named SREnvironment provides a simple user interface to choose an XML configuration file and use this file to drive a runtime execution. After execution, the result can be saved as a XML document which is dumped from DataSet in .Net Framework. With Spider.Net, you can build your owned web crawler easily. Programming Language: C#, .Net Framework WebStructure is released now. It is a supporting tool for building SPath. You may get it in Download Tab or source repository. I have opened a blog about this project. You may find more information from http://foxsoftware.blogspot.com/. [Less]
