Ideen består i å starte et spesialtilpasset operativsystem fra en minnepinne. Dette elevsystemet inneholder all nødvendig programvare, og styrer tilgangen til ... [More] hjelpemidler, filer og nettverk. Elevene kan på denne måten bruke sin egen bærbare datamaskin på eksamen, men får kun tilgang til et begrenset og sikkert operativsystem. Etter eksamen fremstår elevens PC uforandret. Til implementeringen er det utelukkende brukt fri programvare, slik at det ikke oppstår lisenskostnader for skolene. In English: The DIGEKS project provides tools and configuration files to customize a secure operating system for use in ICT-based exams (digital exams). DIGEKS provides the user interface for exam candidates, provides all necessary applications to perform exams, and restricts the use of certain resources. DIGEKS restricts the use of certain applications, files and communication interfaces, such as Bluetooth or wireless zones other than the school's own network. The current version of DIGEKS is developed as a free and open source system based on the Linux distribution KUbuntu. On the exam a USB-pendrive is used to boot up the candidate's PC with the locked down operating system and the necessary application software, like document processor, calculator and browser. [Less]
