Status:PRE-ALPHA Last status change: 2007.12.09 Squarejelly is still under initial development and is only intended for developers at this time. Introduction:An extensible web application ... [More] framework for rapid development of Object based data objects that are accessible via AJAX. So what is this all about anyway?SquareJelly is a self-contained foundation for any website where database driven functionality is desired. Database driven content may include a guestbook, inventory listing, to-do lists, etc. The key to SquareJelly is that you tell it what you want to store in the database and it automatically creates the user interfaces to manage the content and server connections using modern web 2.0 technologies such as Rich DHTML interfaces ( Dojo-Toolkit ), AJAX and JSON. The SquareJelly paradigm may be leveraged for something as simple as a web site poll or as complicated as a full CMS system. The interfaces are completely customizable using industry standard CSS and may be incorporated into existing web site pages with as little as a single line of code. Getting Started:Please download a working copy of the project from the repository and access the ./index.php file for additional "Prerequisite" and "Getting Started" details. [Less]

Using the grid layout, a designer/developer can quickly deploy a fantastic solution with established conventions. Blueprint CSS was launched by Olav Bjørkøy and he has done a great job developing the framework. And jQuery is an amazing and light framework for JavaScript. Write less code. Do more stuff. jQuery was developed by John Resig and continues with contributions by many developers. If you are interested in contributing, please do! There are many ways to skin a cat, maybe you know a less messy one. You can contact me direct at dave.merwin@gmail.com. Please Note:I update SVN religiously. I will not be using downloads. Please do a SVN checkout to get code. WarningYou would be ill advised to grab this code and push it to a server and call it a day. First it will be bloated with comments for documentation. Second, it will require a great deal of HTTP requests to large files. These files are left uncompressed to learn from, but it will add overhead to your site if you load them as is. Where I work, we use different methods to get all of the requests down and to compress the file size.
