openArchitectureWare (oAW) is a modular MDA/MDD generator framework implemented in Java(TM). It supports parsing of arbitrary models, and a language family to check and transform models as well as generate code based on them. Supporting editors are based on the Eclipse platform. OAW has strong ... [More] support for EMF (Eclipse Modelling Framework) based models but can work with other models, too. [Less]

Combined with the Model Driven Architecture approach (MDA), Acceleo is currently the most powerful code generator tool of its generation for Model Driven Development (MDD) and Model Driven Engineering (MDE). Acceleo is easy to use, provide "on the shelves" generators (JEE, .Net, Php...) and template editors for Eclipse.

Acceleo is an implementation of the Object Management Group (OMG) MOF Model to Text Language (MTL) standard. This component is an entirely new development of the OMG MOF Model to Text (Mof2Text) language. The implementation will be compliant with the core feature compliance level of the ... [More] Mof2Text language to start with, then with the advanced feature compliance. [Less]

Modeling Software KIT (MOSKitt) is a FREE CASE tool, built on Eclipse which is being developed by the Valencian Regional Ministry of Infraestructure and Transport to support the gvMétrica methodology (adapting Métrica III to its specific needs). gvMétrica uses techniques based on, among others ... [More] , the UML modeling language. MOSKitt's plugin architecture makes it not only a CASE Tool but also a Free Modeling Platform to develop this kind of tools. [Less]

EMF Customizer is a model (Ecore based) customization/styling/refining CSS like textual DSL targeting MDSD tool chains end users. The motivation is to address the problem of customizing intermediate models in a Eclipse EMF based MDSD toolchain such as Acceleo or openArchitectureWare in order to ... [More] be able to do incremental model generation while preserving user model refinements. Indeed, currently, there are solutions to customize generated text with user code in model to text (M2T) transformations using either protected code regions or inheritance. But, as of today, there doesn't seem to be any such equivalent for customizing generated models in model to model (M2M) transformations which is both freely available, simple to use and aimed at MDSD end users. The focus of MaDAson is to provide a stable framework to implement model driven development processes. The Toolkit consists of different tools which can be easily exchanged and combined to get the optimal process for a given project environment. The main parts are a template compiler and a meta ... [More] model. The meta model is used to instantiate xmi files for easy code generation. The template compiler uses a language very similar to aspx. Existing aspx editors (Visual Studio, SharpDeveloper) can be used for creating templates. Our DaoTutorial and SolutionTutorial should give you a first impression of how MaDAson works. Project status:MetaModel Support for class diagrams and statechart diagrams XMI 1.1 Import Staruml Import Template Compiler Support for aspx-files/c# (code-behind is not supported) DAO Generator Support for entity-persistence for SqlServer 2005 (DAO Pattern) Statemachine generation Generator for java and oracle support is in the pipe Please visit UpcomingFeatures for our future plans [Less]

The idea of this project is to promote model driven development and provide means to define (as easy as possible) your own "simplistic" external DSL, with which you textually describe artifacts (for example database or user interface elements) that are tailored for a (domain) specific ... [More] project. It is similar to OpenArchitectureWare, but more lightweight and not bound to Java and Eclipse. The project is currently developed in Python with use of PyParsing for the parser. Templates for code generation is done with a custom language created with PyParsing Even if the core is now developed using Python and PyParsing in the future this might change depending on the requirements. The idea of models is that they are language independent. Additional tools are also planned: Text editors to assist with creation and usage of DSL artifacts. Model validation assistant. Tool to simplify conversion between models. ... In scope of the project, a reference implementation will be provided (as a separate project), that will show the advantages of MDSD with usage of DSL. The reference implementation will provide its own custom (UML-like) model and implementation of a fully generic code for the CRUD operations, GUI and database. With the reference implementation users could with only the model define a whole usable and simple custom application for various uses (for example: a simplistic phone book, dictionary, book/CD/DVD collection program).
