I created a SOAP Web service (WSDL) That pulls data from the meetup.com website allowing who ever uses the web service to have access to all the data that it provides from meetup website. I have provided examples using the web service in Flex builder 2.0, Php 5.2.5 and in C#. I also have supplied ... READ THIS WARNING BEFORE YOU USE THE SERVICE First off I just wanted to say that I merely created this because I wanted to have more access to my meetups information , I MADE THIS MYSELF, it in no WAY has any relation to meetup.com So please do not go to them for help or something, they have NOTHING to do with this project. Also because I am merely scraping the website the service is unstable, when the meetup website alters its website, it could break the service, so DO not use the service for any type of commercial work!!! It is only for personal use!!! Also DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT!!! send me any personal information, the service considering its current stage of development is still very limited in what it can do! Of course I will find a way for it to work with private meetups ;-P BUT I DO NOT want any type of personal information from ANY USERS of this service, or from the meetup website... HECK from anyone!!! If by some chance you choose not to listen to me and you do send me personal information... I am not responsible, that being me, Joseph Burchett!!! Responsible for whatever happens to that information or your meetup for that matter!!! Nor am I responsible for any of the actions that may or may not happen when you use the information that is provided to you by the service!!! It is all on you!!! OH if you come across any issues with it, or if it doesn't return the proper data, or maybe you have an idea or opinion about the service by all means post it in the issues tab! or email me id be more then happy to help :-) retrogamer4ever at yahoo dot com. 01/15/08 UPDATE Hello everyone, its been over a week since the last update, and just so everyone knows that the project is still alive :-) just wanted to mention a few things that will be in the next update! -Better error messages! So if something goes wrong the output message will make more sense -work around so you can get private meetup info -fix bug where it doesn't return a consistent location for the meetup -will return meetup member information -I will no longer just support WSDL but also REST with both XML and JSON outputs -A new service I have dubbed "Meetup Unity" Hehe, I won't expose to much on this one but my ideas for this one came from the idea behind the new "meetup alliance"! -Possibly code examples with Python and Java, if anyone wants them... But I am a bit rusty with those languages so it might take me a bit :-P -And much, much more! [Less]
