This is the project home page for the MyISERN Web application. The objective of this project is to create a social-networking web application for the International Software Engineering Research Network (ISERN). With this social networking site, a member may add, edit, and display members of the ... [More] ISERN community. It also allows the same functionalities for its members' organizations. Most importantly, it facilitates collaboration among ISERN members by allowing a user to create collaborations with other members of the network. Member information is kept confidential from the public as login is required. Team Onyx has chosen the Apache Derby Database to store information provided by ISERN members. A new ISERN member can be added to the database with the edd function. A member may also add a new Organization, as well as create a Collaboration between another ISERN member. The edit function allows a user to edit information for a researcher, an organization, or a collaboration. The user is able to view information for members, organizations, and collaborations of the network. The application must also able to create an XML representation of the information stored in the database. MyISERN is able to authenticate a login/logout process as well as add, edit, and display the Researchers, Organizations, Collaborations of the ISERN network. Implementation is nearly complete for the use of the Derby Database to store the saved information. We are using Java to implement the web application and the Stripes web application framework to work with the web application.
