A reporting library for python. It provides a way to easily output many kind of different files (odt, ods, png, svg, ...). Adding support for more filetype is easy: you just have to create a plugin for this.

This plugin allows you to export a page to the OpenDocument format used by Open Office and other word processors. This is especially useful when you need to print or to give a single page to a customer (Hint: Open Office can also export to PDF).

The script is a class that represents an opendocument. Currently it can be a spreadsheet or a text document, but it's deadly easy to add the other types. It expects a decompressed version of the document in some django template dir (as defined on settings.py). It will render all xml files ... [More] inside that dir as django templates. And it can generate an appropriate HttpResponse object. It has been made for a custom website, and has enough functionality for our needs, so don't expect it to evolve fast unless you want to contribute. There is another aproach to generate odt files under django here: http://www.djangosnippets.org/snippets/15/ [Less]
