conjoon is a web based personal information manager with a strong focus on message exchanging. Its ambition is to become a web based groupware, but conjoon rather takes two small steps one after another instead of five at once. The software was build with keeping the highest degree of usability in ... [More] mind, that’s why conjoon relies on frameworks such as Ext JS and the Zend Framework. With a strong focus on the development community, conjoon is open source and can be changed to the likes of the people who use the software. [Less]

SecondMind aims to be exactly as the name describes, a second mind. Albeit not composed of neurons and synapses, but rather of bits at the lowest level, and a well-defined API. SecondMind started from the need to maintain the pieces of information that makes up a person's life, both personally ... [More] and professionally, in a world of more information than, well, at least its developers and initial users can handle. The core of SecondMind, the SecondMind API (smapi for short, for +5 acronym usage points), is being designed to support multiple platforms, types of SecondMind concepts and models, and like any proper API, extensible. The API is currently in a state of constant flux. The design and use cases are being thought out and implemented, typically in lockstep. Core structure and packages are laid out; code is being written and committed on a frequent basis. The design of the API is such that anyone interested in extending the API to support various interfaces (think HCI) can do so. In summary, not too much can be done with it yet. And of course, support for plugins is a must-have feature. The SecondMind developers are just that, developers. We couldn't possibly envision every concept someone would like SecondMind to maintain for them. In the long run, we won't have to. Finally, we would love to hear from anyone with thoughts, comments, and suggestions on what SecondMind could and should do. Drop us a comment, use the issues page, or use email. [Less]

ConMan (Carpe Diem Contact Manager) is a simple Java based contact management platform. Its features are evolving, but currently it's a servlet based app that has a JSR-311 (Jersey) REST API that allows the creation of contacts (name, email, etc.), and binding binary documents (like resumes ... [More] and whatnot) to those contacts. The binary document storage is Amazon S3, and metadata about contacts and the associated documents are retained in a local SQL database (currently HSQLDB).
