Gecko ToolboxA PHP Toolbox based on Zend Framework, it provides some components and features to ease RAD, also has a custom implementation of MVC Pattern for programming, but it's 100% compatible with Zend Framework and Zend MVC. FeaturesIt extends Zend Framework proving the following ... [More] elements: MVC Router: Template Rendering Config System using Zend_Config DB Singleton using Zend_Db Quick DB Authentification module using Zend_Auth Advanced HTML Form Generation Form Decorators, Renderers and Templates Basic Form Controls Advanced Form Controls: Ajax Dependant Selects Date Picker Control Advanced Form Validation using Zend_Validate Auto Form creation via independent Builders Advanced DataGrid Control Auto Sorting Pagination Cell Renderers Grid Formatters Independent DataSources (can show grid from a XML, Array, DB, Zend_Db_Table, etc.) Request Input Filtering (GET, POST, COOKIE) Filter Plugins: Strip HTML Magic Quotes XSS Filtering HTML Special Chars Template System PHP Code in templates Template Helpers XML Generation HTML Helpers, OO Interface for HTML tags Security checking vs a Access List (Zend ACL) Paginator capable of paginating any DataSource URL Generation Module ExtensibilityAlmost all of the classes in the toolbox can be extended, and all elements can accept custom elements provided you use the interfaces provided, for example you can create custom filters and register them for the Request module. You can create custom DataSources and use DataGrid to show them in a table, use custom Cell Renderers, or Grid Formatters to display data in the grid, or have custom columns. The form elements are independent you can create a text control add validators and validate user input, or you can use the Form control to add several controls and validate them, and render user errors using a template. In the wiki examples will be uploaded to use the controls, and using the MVC system if you want to try another MVC pattern for organizing your code. This Toolbox is a extension of Zend Framework, it's not a complete Framework so if you want to try the examples you need to download the latest version of Zend Framework. [Less]

Meant to contain useful extensions to the Zend Framework library which currently isn't implemented there. And on occasion other functionality useful for building web applications in PHP. Currently under heavy development.

Latest News2007 Super 14 competition over. We raised over NZD500.00 in our office using this software. I am happy to report there were very few bugs, all of which are now updated in the current featured download: < s14_stable_070522.tar.gz > The subversion repository - Updates I have ... [More] decided to refresh the subversion repository from scratch. There have been some changes from version 194 along with googles requirement for a new subversion client that has caused problems. I am basically removing MVC, and creating MVC again with fresh data. This version on the repository (hopefylly version 196 if I do everything right will be the latest.. 9,440 Lines of PHP and XSL code. Release 1.1 of the Super14 MVC has been released. Small updates and the 2007 games database. Release 1.0 of the Super14 MVC has been released!!! Download from http://code.google.com/p/s14/downloads/list. AboutA php MVC type web application for virutual super 14 in an intranet on apache with mysql. Interesting excersises here include providing authorisation for actions. I have decided to implement Authorisation in the controller with authorisation requirements specified in the controller configuration for each action. I have also been experimenting with xslt and XML. It seems that XML is a good standard to use for transferring data between actions and views. This way clients, in the future, could conceivably request the raw XML. At the moment, I really need to start writing DTD's for the different XML outputs so they may be validated as well as provide a decent API for other developers who may wish to plug in to this project. Rails is great, but IMO does too much. Cake attempts to imitate and does even more in a very awkward way. This is an attempt at a PHP MVC framework that is fast and lean (Use of PHP allows for more optimized performance and easier installation. The goal is to allow the framework to run using no ... [More] server side configuration beyond .htaccess files, while also making it possible to move the configuration to Apache conf files for greater performance. [Less]

The class allows you to display progress bars in your terminal. You can use this for displaying the status of downloads or other tasks that take some time.

The core CI_Hooks class only gives 8 hooks for developers to use. With this update to the class you can extend that to provide your own hooks anywhere you want within your own controllers, models, libraries, helpers, or views. This Class gives team projects what they need to allow different things ... [More] to "plugin" to the system in the same way the core hooks do. In all truth, I think it is the one thing that has been missing from CI. Works with PHP 4 & 5 (not tested with 6). [Less]

Developed for an existing website, this comment system is perfect for a website that implements unique item/post IDs so you can have a threaded comment system. Includes a VERY basic algorithm for rating each post, Slashdot style. (ie. Each post can be rated rated with a discriptor ... [More] (Informative/Interesting/Funny/Irrelevant/Troll) and a 1-5 value. At this point, it includes flagging for users and comment deletion for admins. Each post gives the title of the post it's replying to, if applicable. There is also an option to reply with quote. Eventually, I plan to add more administrative options, rating filters, paging, user statistics, etc. [Less]
