AboutThis is a prototyp implementation of a Python module to organise, index and query corpora with linguistic markup. This is beta software! BackgroundLinguistic XML corpora have generally different markup levels and support search for linguistic structure. E.g., one for word, one for lemmas ... [More] and a third for parts of speech. Now one can search for: uses of "book" as a Verb uses of forms of "to go" with a direct object verbs that take "x" as their direct object Standard XML search engines are very powerfull in terms of structures you can search for but are rather slow. IdeaThis module uses an inverted index, a data structure from classic information retrieval, where some tokens are allowed to occupy the identical position in a file. The prototyp is inspired by the Lucene search engine and does not provide code to parse your corpus files. FeedbackAny feedback is welcome! Bugs, comments, ideas, questions. [Less]
