This is a class project for a college C++ class. The 1.0 release will be a win32 console game in the style of Rogue, but using the Ruling Wars universe for characters, enemies and places. It will be written in such a way as to be easy to port to Linux. The goals after the 1.0 release are to add ... [More] multiplayer online functionality (the framework to do this is built into the source code originally) and to make it graphical (which will probably take a major rewrite). The project is a learning project, which will be followed by a rulingwars-fps, rulingwars-rts and rulingwars-mmo. Later projects may or may not be Open Source. Ruling Wars is a project of Forefront Gaming LLC. The source code to this project is free, but included maps, factions, and enemies are copyright Forefront Gaming LLC. [Less]

Dreamhack is a game in the Roguelike genre, most similar to Nethack but still very unique. For instance, unlike Nethack, an "Angband style" town can be accessed from the starting map. Initially, the player can only progress down a single floor, and must travel up. After reaching floor 25 of the house, the player must progress back down into the basement and continue in the basement to floor -25. On floor -25 is the bar, from which the player is assigned quests to complete. Click here to download the latest version! [Less]
