ErgoEmacs is a new emacs distribution. This project's aim is to create a modernized version of emacs. ErgoEmacs includes many enhancements to GNU Emacs. In particular, it uses a ergonomics based keyboard shortcut set, but also support modern standard ones such as Copy, Cut, Paste , undo ... [More] , Save, Open, Close. ErgoEmacs modernize emacs by removing some awkward user interface, and many emacs's 1980s terminologies, documentation, but still remain emacs-like for its superb features (For example, there will not be addition of pop-up dialogs or forcing users to use mouse.). This project is not a political fork of GNU Emacs. It is just elisp files on top of GNU Emacs. All code are licensed by GPL. [Less]

In Git, everything is possible. But for some common commands I wrote these shortcut scripts. Some of them are like helper expressions to use inside another Git cmd line. Most of them had to be implemented on the Plumbing level (which means, a little bit of hacking), but provide features useful ... [More] for me such as: git heads-for-merge -- what does your FETCH_HEAD say about all the heads that have been fetched for merge? git the-empty-tree -- the ID to use if you need to refer to the empty tree in your (tree-merging) commands git mread-and-commit -- read in multiple refs, merge the trees, and then make a merge commit, without touching your index or the working dir (useful for managing imported histories) git merge-without-working -- the same idea -- advance your HEAD by merging And more... The WhatSimple keybind function written in javascript. It takes in a key+modifier and function, such that when the key+modifier is pressed, it will execute the function. This code also makes it easy to associate different functions to various key combinations. In other words, this is useful for ... [More] creating keyboard shortcuts (think gmail). The WhyThis code was extracted from (and is currently used for) my memorization project. A live version hosted by Gracepoint Fellowship Church can be seen here. Note: This project is still in active development, but it has moved to Github Queriac (codenamed monoquery) is a free online tool that allows you to manage your quicksearches, shortcuts, and bookmarklets by taking them out of your browser profile and onto the web, making them portable, taggable ... [More] , shareable, and generally easier to manage. Drawing from the concept of YubNub and extending it in the spirit of del.icio.us, Queriac effectively turns your browser’s address bar into a flexible command line. To start using Queriac head over to http://queri.ac and create an account. It's free and easy. Here's a screenshot of a command list.. [Less]

The shortcut-teller monitors users work and tell them whether they can do the same thing by using a shortcut key if any. Even the experienced persons may not use all the short-cuts of the application, operating system, ... they use. but the performance of the users can be very much improved if they ... [More] use almost all the shortcuts. Now very few of us want to spend some time browsing the internet or read books to find shortcuts, and some time we do not even expect a shortcut for some work, so we end up spending our crucial time. My application 'shortcut-teller' runs as a background process and updates users about the shortcuts they have not used. Thanks for reading - Prashant Sabnekar [Less]
