PDF Cube uses Poppler and OpenGL APIs to add 3D spinning cube page transitions to PDF documents. PDF Cube is a tiny (~28KiB) program to render PDF presentations with special 3D effects (a rotating cube and 5 predefined zoom animations). It adds eye-candy to your PDF presentations, even Latex, Beamer and Prosper ones.

Image component in Flex does not support smoothing, when images are resized they get pixelated. SmoothImage is intended to provide this missing feature. InstallationCopy SWC file to the "libs" folder in your Flex project. You now have a new "SmoothImage" component with smooth enabled.

This is a C++ program using Qt to view fractals of all kinds. Currently only the Mandelbrot Set is shown but it is highly customizable to also support other fractal types. My focus is not on speed but on feature-richness while retaining a good usability also for unexperienced users. Features so ... [More] farMinimalistic interface (to focus on the important stuff) Antialiasing (2x2 RGSS) Browsing mode (Google-Earth-alike real time zooming and dragging) Intuitive keyboard navigation (see below) Intuitive mouse navigation (see below) Scaling the image (very useful for quickly looking at images at a lower resolution) Arbitrary image size Saving images in PNG-Format Using long doubles (80 bit depth instead of 64 bits using doubles) Smooth coloration Multithreading Platform independent UsageIn the Settings-Menu you can choose between Browse and Select. In Browse-Mode you can zoom using the mouse wheel (very much Google-Earth-alike) in an intuitive way and drag to move the image. In Select-Mode you can drag a frame around the area you a interested in and commit your choice by double-clicking into it. You can also move either one of the corners or the whole selection. There are various modes: Default: Center is fixed, aspect ratio is kept. Shift-Key: The node opposite to the selected node is fixed, aspect ratio is kept. Alt-Key: The current rotation and the center is kept, the aspect ratio is modified. Alt+Shift-Key: Combination of the previous two modes. Independent of the selected mode, you can also navigate using the keyboard: Zoom in and out using + and - (default factor 0.85, Alt-key pressed: 0.25) Move with the cursor keys (16 pixels per default, 1 pixel with the Shift-key, 256 pixels with the Alt-key) Known bugsNo message if the image was not saved You will get several disconnected slots messages since I recently have rewritten the whole backend Supported/Implemented but not yet accessible via the interfaceChanging the color palette without recalculation Use of templates in the calculations (instead of long doubles every type can be used; should be a nice thing to get arbitrary precision) Plots like Buddhabrot or IFSs Magnetic pendulum simulation Register machine for other functions Planned in the very near futureArbitrary functions Editing color palette Support for Buddhabrot, IFSs, magnetic pendulum, Ants simulation, Cellular simulations, ... (proposals?) Various coloring methods (triangle inequality, etc...) Cubic interpolation for the color palette Interface: Maybe using tabs for more calculations at the same time Planned int the near futureSupport for arbitrary formulas (to get an impression look at my applet in http://www.logic.at/staff/searles/JFractals/index_new.html) Saving fractals as an xml file Planned but I don't know whether I will implement itFull screen Creating movies based on XML-Files Different color models [Less]
