DBI

The DBI module enables your Perl applications to access multiple database types transparently. You can connect to a large number of databases, including MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, Informix, Sybase, ODBC etc. without having to know the different underlying interfaces of each. FreeTDS

FreeTDS is a database driver for Sybase and Microsoft SQL Server. It includes an ODBC driver, as well as the older DB-Library and CT-Library interfaces. It works with tools such as DBD::Sybase and DBD::ODBC for Perl, and the Sybase and ODBC modules for PHP.
