PHP based Bible reader using SWORD modules and Diatheke. Currently hosted at http://pocketsword.org. I need a server that lets me run diatheke! Internet access where I am at is not stable, and you will not be able to load pocket sword all the time. Update 6/11: Added support for Blackberry ... [More] devices and for the Apple Newton (Hey, I wanted to read on mine too! :D). Working on a desktop version for study. Will post code changes when I figure Subversion out :D. Update: I got a domain for it: pocketsword.org. Project for an iPhone Bible application using SWORD modules. This application will be offline, and based on phpisword and pocketsword.org. OK, sorry for the loooong wait. I guess an explanation would be appreciated. I moved and got a job, b/c I needed money badly. There was not much time outside ... [More] of work to work on this, although I did do some stuff with it. Just last week, I moved to NH, and now I am not working, so I should be able to put the time into this that it deserves. :). 4/2/09 [Less]

Answord is a project with the aim to make a responsive feature-filled bible application for the android mobile platform. Rather than using online bibles as its source, it will use bibles stored on the device. Features planned for the projectFull Text Search On the fly downloading of bibles ... [More] Multiple Bibles Overall Goals of the projectresponsiveness ease of use Current Phase1/28 I am trying to find the best way to load bibles into the app. The problem is that the Android Platform has no distinct way to have a preloaded database in the apk. I have been researching this for awhile now and its been driving me crazy. But I have a plan that may work that I came across while reading some mailing lists I could have a downloadable sql file that I would download and run. and since the insert statements can be separated the database can be populated incrementally. There are other things to consider but I think this could be a good direction. I am working on a osis to sqlite converter. Its in python because it seemed the easiest to do this in. [Less]
