PuTTY

PuTTY is a free implementation of Telnet and SSH for Win32 and Unix platforms, along with an xterm terminal emulator. It also includes versions of sftp and scp.

soiled

Soiled is a TELNET client and terminal emulator (VT100, VT102, xterm etc). The code repository also contains a server designed to test mud clients (TELNET clients in line-by-line mode with extra features) and various mud related protocols. Soiled is implemented in haXe and it can be run in flash ... [More] player, version 9 and later, making it a good way to let people easily access TELNET based services via webpages. Soiled has a few features making it suitable for playing muds, it is able to redraw the input line and the prompt when new text arrives from the server, it has support for macros and it keeps a history of both commands entered and text received. Unlike many mud clients it also supports char-by-char mode and therefor it can be used to access programs, such as vim, and play games like NetHack (with DECGraphics and all the colour one wants). FaerieMUD

A not-for-profit effort to create a new multi-user online role-playing game, one with a high degree of immersiveness and believability, depth of character, and, above all, an emphasis on story.

Tera Term

Tera Term is a terminal emulator (communications) program. It emulates different types of terminals, from DEC VT100 to DEC VT382. It supports telnet, SSH 1 & 2, serial port connections, IPv6 acccess and UTF-8. It also has a built in Macro scripting language and a few other useful plugins.

WheelMUD

WheelMUD is a Multi-User Domain (MUD), also known as Multi-User Dungeons. This is a multiplayer text enviornment, that's built upon the telnet protocol. WheelMUD has been coded using C#.

PCMan X

PCMan is an easy-to-use telnet client mainly targets BBS users formerly running under MS Windows. PCMan X is a newly developed, open-source and cross-platform version written with wxWidgets, supporting X Window, MS Windows, and Mac OS X.

TN5250

tn5250 emulates a 5250 terminal or printer over telnet, for connecting to IBM iSeries and AS/400 computers running i5/OS and OS/400. It runs on any Unix or Windows system.
