w3m

Compare

w3m is a pager/text-based WWW browser. It is similar to Lynx, but handles some things like page navigation differently. It can render tables and frames (by converting frames into tables) or display a document given from standard input. It can also be used with mouse in an xterm or in a gpm-driven console, and it is small.

Realtime strategic completely text-mode network game Program is written in C++, using as much OOP as possible. Console output and input is handled by NCurses. The program has a simple window manager with an event handler. Built-in Python interpreter is used for processing all inputs and ... [More] generating outputs using callback functions to the main program. All scripts involved are user editable. Interactive console might be used. Python can be used to create AI players. The game uses TCP/IP communication for networking. It uses a classical (dedicated server × clients) concept. Sound output is expected to use PC Speaker. Units' acknowledgements will be simple beeps. In-game music should be possible to import either from standard cellphone notation or from guitar tablature. By default, there will be PC Speaker version of Starcraft music. Currently, the game is in early development and is not playable. It's expected to be finished in the first half of 2009. It's a school project, therefore no help is allowed/needed. [Less]

really simple system to generate a text based menu system in python. very powerful as you can link menu's together, and add extra scripting to their actions based on menu choice. simple api. most useful variables are accessible from the constructor, feel free to modify for your code-- the ... [More] defaults are decent, or if for some reason you want to waste all your time, make the oo people happy, and double the size of the code, then you can add your own get and set methods for all the properties -- lame! This is an effort to display the best possible video in 80x50 16 color text mode. We have actually already achieved most of this goal, and as a result development is currently somewhat stalled. NotesWe have placed an executable of the player online, since that uses pure assembly and needs to be ... [More] compiled with Borland Turbo Assembler. We use version 5.0, but other versions may work. The tools you need to actually create a video should build cleanly on linux (r215), and possibly cygwin (cygwin has not been tested for a while). Just run "makeall.sh" located in the scripts folder. After that encoding is fairly straight forward using "encode.sh" (also in the scripts folder) You will probably need to play with, and/or modify the script a bit as it is 'tuned' to our development environment ;-) [Less]
