awesome is a highly configurable, next generation framework window manager for X. It is very fast, light and extensible. It is primarly targeted at power users, developers and any people dealing with every day computing tasks and want to have fine-grained control on its graphical environment.

xmonad-contrib

xmonad is a minimalistic tiling window manager for X, written and extensible in Haskell. xmonad-contrib is the library of user-contributed extension modules to xmonad, providing a large collection of new layout algorithms, utilities, hooks, and more.

Window Manager From Scratch

WMFS (Window Manager From Scratch) is a lightweight and highly configurable tiling window manager for X. Configurable with a configuration file, supports Xft (Freetype) fonts and is compliant with the Extended Window Manager Hints (EWMH) specifications, Xinerama and Xrandr. wmiirc-lua
