JsonMarshaller is a Java 1.5 library that allows marshalling and unmarshalling of JSON objects to and from entities ("Java classes"). This project's goal is above all ease of use, transparency and static type safety.

What is FuseCompress?FuseCompress provides a mountable Linux filesystem which transparently compresses its content. Files stored in this filesystem are compressed on the fly and FUSE allows to create a transparent interface between compressed files and user applications. FuseCompress supports ... [More] different compression methods: LZO, gzip, bzip2, and LZMA. Isn't there a new version? This is the legacy C implementation of FuseCompress (0.9.x tree). It performs slightly less well than the current one implemented in C++ (1.99.x tree), but does not exhibit flaws such as data corruption or files growing larger and larger that make the current code (as of July 17 2008) unusable in a production environment. You can find the new version at Milan Svoboda's website. Because Milan is concentrating on the new version, I am now maintaining the old tree. How well does it work?It works well enough that I have trusted it to handle the vast majority of my private data. I am also using it for my $HOME directory, source trees, and I have (with some really evil hacks) succeeded in installing an openSUSE 11.0 system with FuseCompress as its root filesystem. (That, however, is not something you should currently try at home. At least not on a real system.) LZMA support is experimental. Both the implementation in FuseCompress and the library used by it are not stable yet. Versions 4.999.3 and 4.999.5 of the LZMA library create mutually incompatible streams, for instance. I am still occasionally fixing slight deviations from the expected behavior of a Unix filesystem. These problems are all minor, but may still cause data loss, depending on how robust your applications are. FuseCompress now has experimental support for Mac OS X and MacFUSE. Where to get itPackages for openSUSE Source code can be found in the SVN repository. More informationBuild HOWTO How to use FuseCompress What compression method should I use? [Less]

Sometimes we must access some network or host through a proxy or many proxies. But it is a fact that not all the software support all the kinds of proxies, and the condition may be more complex if there are kinds of proxies we have to connect to them one by one. Is there a good solution for this? ... [More] If you use windows as your prime computer, you should be lucky enough, because NEC has developed a free software called SocksCap, which can solve the problem where there is only one proxy. Less is better than none, isn't it? It is sad that this word 'free' only means free of charge, not open source, so we can't find the idea in this software through reading the source code of it. If you prefer unix/linux to windows, it isn't too bad since there are some open souce implementations like SocksCap. They are tsocks and proxychains. By the way, there is another way to do this task, and it is that redirecting the connection to a proxy client server. Transproxy and s5snake belong to this kind. Then why do I re-invent the wheel again? Two reason:   1. A new module architecture, so it is easy to extend it, and adding a new proxy protocol isn't so difficult any more.   2. It is just a practice and I just play it for fun and personal requirement. Current features: 1. TCP connection only. 2. HTTP-CONNECT, SOCKS4 and SOCKS5. 3. Proxies over one hop and mixed types. 4. Powerful ACLs. 5. Multi-Threading friendly. [Less]

The basic idea is to have a system with 3 NIC's. Two of the NIC's will be set in bridge mode and will pass all traffic between them in both directions. You can then filter traffic on the bridging interface using iptables or pf in BSD. The third NIC is for management and would have and ... [More] interface based in PHP to access the box. Because the bridging interfaces have no IP addresses in them it is impossible to access them using those interfaces. If you do a trace route the machine will not show up, if you look at the arp table of the switch or router it is connected to, you will see nothing but the other devices that are connected. So for all intents and purposes the machine doesn't exist, thats why I called it Spoon Linux because there is no spoon. The system will be based in gentoo, mainly because its more customizable from the start and I can remove everything except what I need right down to the code level and optimization. [Less]

Planet Mongo is a concise, versatile, and even (optionally) stateless web content manager which emphasizes transparency and unobtrusiveness in all design choices. It boasts quick and simple setup, as it doesn't use any MySQL (or any other databases). Planet Mongo focuses on websites such as web ... [More] fliers, personal home pages and weblogs, band pages, and other such websites for which large content managers would introduce more problems than they would solve. Everything done automatically by Planet Mongo can be done (or undone) conveniently by hand. All configuration can be done by editing files. Themes are created using an easy template system. The key to Planet Mongo's power lies in its ultra-versatile command system, in which the user can embed Planet Mongo modules anywhere, and thereby construct your website programmatic ally using large building blocks. Planet Mongo does not require PHP5, MySQL, JavaScript, sessions, or even write access for most features. It is not recommended for users unexperienced with HTML or file system manipulation. [Less]

We believe that the more the process is clear and transparent the more the process is efficient, and one way to make it clear and transparent is automating it.
