Xfce (Core)

Xfce is a lightweight desktop environment for UNIX-like operating systems. It aims to be fast and low on system resources, while still being visually appealing and user friendly. This Ohloh project only contains the core components of Xfce!

Fluxbox

Fluxbox is a lightweight and highly configurable window manager with pwm-like tabs.

IceWM

IceWM is a window manager designed for speed, usability, and consistency. It is able to emulate the looks of Motif, OS/2, and Windows, and allows you to have a customizable look using pixmaps.

AfterStep

AfterStep is a window manager for the Unix X Window System. Originally based on the look and feel of the NeXTStep interface, it provides end users with a consistent, clean, and elegant desktop. wmiirc-lua

Wmiirc-lua is a replacement of the wmiirc that comes with wmii-3.5 (and later) with a lua script. This removes the fork/exec overhead of the shell script that is used to control the wmii window manager. The long term goal of the project is to duplicate features from the wmii+ruby project.

lg3d

Project Looking Glass is based on Java technology and explores bringing a richer user experience to the desktop and applications via 3D windowing and visualization capabilities. It is an open development project based on and evolved from Sun Microsystems' advanced technology project.

EPIwm Window Manager

EPIwm is a window manager. It is intended to be small, fast, and configurable while maintaining a large feature set.

EDE

EDE (Equinox Desktop Environment) is small and very portable desktop environment designed to be very lightweight in memory and resource usage.
